Environmental Beliefs
Respecting Country, Connecting to Culture
At All Seasons Houseboats, we respectfully acknowledge the Latji Latji and Barkindji Peoples, the Traditional Custodians of the land and waters on which we operate.
We honour their enduring connection to the Murray River and surrounding country — a place of gathering, culture, and community for countless generations. As you cruise the mighty Murray, we invite you to reflect on the rich cultural heritage of this land — and the stories carried on its waters for thousands of years.
We are committed to ongoing cultural learning and respectfully incorporating local knowledge into our guest experience and environmental practices.
Pioneers of Eco-Certified Houseboating in Australia, Certified by Ecotourism Australia
Sustainability is at the heart of the All Seasons Houseboats fleet. In 2025, we became the first houseboat company in Australia to have our entire fleet ECO Certified by Ecotourism Australia — a milestone that reflects our long-term commitment to protecting the Murray River and the environment we operate in.
Leading the way is Ruby Luxury, a true pioneer in sustainable houseboating. In 2015, Ruby became the first houseboat in Australia to achieve ECO Nature Accreditation, meeting the strict environmental and sustainability standards set by Ecotourism Australia. In 2026, Ruby will be proudly recognised for 10 years of continuous Eco Certification — a decade of setting the benchmark for responsible river tourism.
Ecotourism Australia is a founding member of the Tourism Sustainability Certifications Alliance (TSCA), the global body responsible for certifying more than 19,000 tourism operators worldwide. Their independent assessments rigorously evaluate energy efficiency, environmental impact, sustainable operations, and guest education — standards now met across the entire All Seasons fleet.
For All Seasons, Eco Certification is more than a badge — it reflects our responsibility as custodians of the Murray River. This river is central to everything we do, and protecting it ensures future generations can experience it in the same pristine way our guests do today. By investing in sustainable operations across our entire fleet, we’re not only reducing our environmental footprint, but actively setting a higher standard for houseboating in Australia — proving that leadership, luxury, and care for the environment can, and should, go hand in hand.

Protecting the Murray — Our Home, Our Responsibility
Operating since 2004, our family-run business is passionate about preserving the majestic Murray River, its tributaries, billabongs, and surrounding ecosystems. We’re doing all we can to protect this incredible environment for generations to come.
From the Dockside Marina, to every vessel in our fleet, sustainability is built into how we work, how we host, and how we grow.
We aim to minimise our environmental impact and actively preserve, restore, and protect native vegetation and wildlife in and around Dockside Marina, and along the riverbanks.
Sustainability in Action
We’ve implemented a number of initiatives across our operations, including:
Solar Power on Every Vessel
Each houseboat is equipped with rooftop solar panels, reducing generator run time, fuel consumption, and emissions. Elevate Luxury alone features over 16kW of solar—more than most Victorian homes.Grey Water Management and Recycling
All post-2005 boats are fitted with grey water catchment systems. Two vessels are now trialing grey water recycling technology, filtering and returning safe water to the river under strict environmental guidance.Eco-Friendly Products and Waste Control
We use only biodegradable, river-safe cleaning products. Cigarette trays, water-saving toilets, and clearly labelled recycling bins help ensure waste stays out of the water.Energy Efficiency and Low-Emission Operations
LED lighting, 12-volt systems, and ultra-efficient 4-stroke motors across the fleet help reduce our energy use and environmental footprint.Clean Marina, Clean River
Regular water quality testing is conducted at Dockside Marina. We operate full black and grey water pump-out facilities, and fuel bowsers are used to eliminate fuel spillage risks.
Our Broader Impact
Our commitment goes beyond the boats:
Community Engagement
We proudly support the Mildura Botanic Gardens, sponsor local fishing competitions, and participate in riverbank clean-ups—especially when the weir is removed.Ethical and Local
We build and maintain our boats locally, support regional suppliers, and select partners aligned with our environmental values.Carbon Monitoring and Tracking
Our Select Live system tracks real-time solar performance and fuel usage, helping us reduce emissions and educate guests on sustainable practices.
“This is our river, our backyard, our responsibility.
Every decision we make is with the next generation in mind.”
— Jodie Bromley, Director
All staff, from our marina crew to front office, share this commitment. We’re always on the lookout for new ways to enhance our environmental performance and ensure your time with us leaves nothing but memories.
